Today we shared a policy briefing with MSPs detailing information about current health inequalities in Scotland, including a summary of the findings from our recent (IN)VISIBLE research into sex, gender, and health inequalities. The briefing further shared a description of the policy priorities from our Manifesto for Health Creation, as well as some more recent contextual information.
The Scottish Parliament is current in recess and MSPs will not be returning until late August. This time away from parliamentary business provides a useful opportunity for MSPs to undertake desk research on some of the key policy priorities in Scotland, particularly for those who are new to the role.
This briefing complements the Movement for Health Creation Open Letter, signed by 79 VHS members, that was sent to MSPs immediately following the election, providing further detail and context.
