Job title: Policy Engagement Lead
Contract: 35 hours, Monday to Friday
Location: Edinburgh (with hybrid working options)
Salary: £35,112 (VHS Grade 3)
Role
VHS is Scotland’s leading intermediary and network for health charities and other third sector organisations involved in health. We work with our members and wider networks to address health inequalities and help people live healthier, fairer lives. This is a fantastic time to join us in this key role, as we build on the success of our influencing activities and look to expand our reach.
You will need an excellent track record in policy work and be capable of delivering consistently high quality work in a fast-paced working environment. You will plan and deliver an effective programme of policy, research and public affairs work, with a strong emphasis on external engagement with VHS members, Scottish Government, Scottish Parliament, and a wide range of other external stakeholders. You need to be a confident and pro-active communicator and skilled in using a range of media, working face to face and digitally. Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will be a strong team player and thrive on working collaboratively internally and externally.
