VHS is Scotland’s leading intermediary and network for the voluntary health sector. We work with our members and wider networks to address health inequalities and help people live healthier, fairer lives. The role of Policy Engagement Officer has become available due to Kiren Zubairi moving on after 5 years for a new role within the Scottish Government. This is a fantastic time for the right person to join VHS as we build on the success of our influencing activities and look to expand our reach.
You will need an excellent track record in policy work and be capable of delivering consistently high quality work in a fast-paced working environment. You will plan and deliver an effective programme of policy, research and public affairs work, with a strong emphasis on external engagement with VHS members, networks and other external stakeholders. You will help shape and deliver VHS’s communication strategy, website, media and digital communications so you need to be a confident and pro-active communicator and skilled in using a range of media, working face to face and digitally. You will thrive on working collaboratively internally and externally.
