THURSDAY 14TH AUGUST 2014 6PM – 7.30PM

ST JOHN’S CHURCH

PRINCES STREET, EDINBURGH

Tickets: £5

Where is the line between personal responsibility and public health? NHS Tayside give incentives to encourage people with Hepatitis C to enter into treatment. Is this a good use of NHS resources for the greater good or an undermining of personal responsibility?

As part of Just Festival 2014, a panel of speakers will explore the ethical issues associated with offering financial rewards in healthcare.

The event will be chaired by Sheena McDonald and speakers will include John Dillon, Clinical Lead for NHS Tayside and Professor Kenneth Boyd, retired medical ethicist.

Voluntary Health Scotland member Waverley Care is Scotland’s leading charity providing care and support to people living with HIV or Hepatitis C.
