Where is the line between personal responsibility and public health? NHS Tayside give incentives to encourage people with Hepatitis C to enter into treatment. Is this a good use of NHS resources for the greater good or an undermining of personal responsibility?
As part of Just Festival 2014, a panel of speakers will explore the ethical issues associated with offering financial rewards in healthcare.
The event will be chaired by Sheena McDonald and speakers will include John Dillon, Clinical Lead for NHS Tayside and Professor Kenneth Boyd, retired medical ethicist.
