The Sorted Project is a charity established in Scotland in 2008. We provide post-treatment support for people in recovery with complex health needs around substance use and mental health. We operate from a purpose built canal boat on the Union Canal, Edinburgh and the boat is called Panacea. This provides a unique experience on water and in nature which our participants tell us is calming, relaxing and mood lifting.
Onboard we provide lived experience peer support, community, training to become a crew member, and we sail most days with our crew of lived experience staff and volunteers.
We also provide morning and afternoon sailing with health and recovery organisations, delivering collaborative working to provide joined up opportunities for our recovery community.
