Audit Scotland is currently conducting a performance audit of General Practice, focusing on how general practice is performing since the introduction of the 2018 General Medical Services Contract. You can find out more about the scope of the audit on Audit Scotland’s website here.
Audit Scotland was keen to hear the views of community link workers and programme leads as part of gathering evidence for this audit. They held two focus groups, one each with CLWs and leads to enable them to share their experiences of working within general practice, the impact that they have on patients and health inequalities and share their views about could work better.
You can read the Key Messages from the focus groups and Audit Scotland’s final report will be published in Spring 2025. A big thank you to all the CLWs and programme leads who contributed to the groups.
Please contact Roisin Hurst if you have any questions.
