In November 2014, Scottish Ministers asked for a review to be undertaken of public health in Scotland. A review group was established and met for the first time in December 2014. The group meets monthly. VHS is a member of the group and is represented by Grant Sugden, CEO of Waverley Care.
The group published an Engagement Paper in January 2015 seeking views on key aspects of the review, e.g. partnerships, workforce, etc. On 17th February 2015 VHS held a Sounding Board discussion with voluntary health organisations, to start to generate responses to the Engagement Paper and to begin to develop a third sector response to the overall review.
