Richard Meade was elected to the VHS Board in November 2023. Richard is Director of Carers Scotland and Carers Northern Ireland and has worked in health and social care for over twenty years, including the NHS and multiple third sector organisations. He has been a senior leader for over a decade, and a charity trustee for four years, and has expertise in Scottish public affairs, PR and communications and has won multiple awards for campaigning and influencing work.
Richard has a Master of Public Health with a distinction from Edinburgh University, and is a member of the Institute of Leadership.
