The Association for the Study of Medical Education‘s mission is to advance scholarship in health professions education. Our core values include development, inclusion, scholarship, collaboration, creativity and opportunity.
As a UK-based charitable organisation with international reach, our strategic priorities are to:
- Maintain and further enhance ASME’s existing reputation as a vibrant, diverse and inclusive space for all those involved in the study of health professions education.
- Improve ASME’s presence and expand our charitable activities as a leading voice in the study of health professions education, through nurturing partnerships and growing our membership.
- Further cultivate our active, inclusive scholarly community, in which communication and collaboration is supported (e.g. between members, groups, committees, partners).
- Engage and develop current and future members, through ASME activities including awards, events, mentorship, networks and
publications. - Use existing platforms and create new opportunities to promote and share excellent scholarship, and develop evidence to inform policy and practice, nationally and internationally.
