Adventure Centre for Education (ACE) – trading as Adventure Carrick – is a social enterprise pioneering blue-green health initiatives that connect people to the wellbeing benefits of water, coast and countryside. Based in Girvan, we deliver a wide range of community-based outdoor programmes across South Ayrshire and the wider Biosphere region, from our innovative Blue Health Hub to projects that promote harbour regeneration, environmental stewardship, and year-round access to nature.
Our work spans blue-green health walks, snorkel trails, canoeing, forest bathing, and workplace wellbeing, alongside targeted support for young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Through partnerships, training programmes such as Finding the Spark, and initiatives like the Girvan Bandstand redevelopment and Martin’s Field education site, we create opportunities for all ages and backgrounds to experience the health benefits of being in nature, having adventure, develop skills, and build stronger, healthier communities.
