Social Justice and tackling inequality are top of the agenda. We know that our public services need to adapt and both the Christie Commission and Smith Commission give us a framework for how. Within this context, how do we retain the best of our universal services while also supporting them to combat inequality? We have not succeeded so far. What more needs to be done to introduce principles of progressive universalism and succeed in reducing inequality?
Jim McCormick, Scotland Director for the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, will lead discussion on how we can shape and influence public services in Scotland to reduce inequality.
