A VHS Sounding Board to explore the 2015 Review of Public Health and consider its implications for the third sector. An open invitation to any voluntary health or other third sector organisation that considers public health to be ‘core business’.
On 11th February 2016 the Scottish Government published the 2015 Review of Public Health. Commissioned by Scottish Ministers in November 2014, the expert review group included third sector representation through VHS and the published Review reflects that.
The Sounding Board will be chaired by Dr Stuart Cable, Programme Director, NHS Education for Scotland. Gareth Brown, Acting Head of Health Protection Division, Scottish Government will present the Review. Grant Sugden, CEO of Waverley Care, will give his perspective as the voluntary sector (VHS) representative on the Review Group.
