Voluntary Health Scotland launched their report ‘Living in the Gap: a voluntary health sector perspective on health inequalities in Scotland’ earlier this year. The report highlighted the strength and vital work contributed by the sector, but also highlighted the need for further recognition.
Our seminar will look to discuss the report findings and the wider issues of health inequalities in Scotland. We will also look to discuss support and recognition for the third sector. ‘Living in the gap’ featured case studies which spotlight work currently underway in Scotland. Our seminar will include a discussion session with some of our case study organisations.
Speakers include:
- Rob Packham, Chief Officer, Perth & Kinross Integration Joint Board for Health and Social Care
- Claire Stevens, Chief Officer, Voluntary Health Scotland
- Lesley Munro, Development Officer, Voluntary Health Scotland
- Linda Bates, Development Officer, ASH Scotland
- Jan Bell, RVS, Dundee Home form Hospital Project
- David Ross, Equalities Co-ordinator, Fife Society for the Blind
- Dr Pauline Craig, Head of Equality, NHS Health Scotland
