The Scottish Women’s Convention (SWC) was set up by the Scottish Executive in 2003 in recognition of the need to ensure women’s voices reach policy makers.
We work to give women throughout Scotland the opportunity to be involved in our activities and events. Our events include conferences on a range of topics, roadshows, roundtables and surveys. The information gathered at these events is then compiled and reported to key decision-makers at a national and international level, as well as women who can then use our materials to challenge unfair practice. By working with individuals and local organisations, we are able to meet with a diverse range of women, with different experiences, backgrounds and cultures.
We at the SWC believe that it is important that women are heard across Scotland, and therefore provide effective mechanisms for women to connect with key influencers.
