Give Us Time takes accommodation donated by owners of holiday groups, hotels and holiday homes and matches them with military families in need of rest, rehabilitation and reconnection with their families.
When the UK Armed Forces aren’t engaged in activities they are training to meet them which also takes them away from their relations. Many of our service personnel are deployed away from their families for 6 months or more annually. Whilst deployed or on standby, they are required to be at operational readiness 24 hours a day, seven days a week without the luxury of bank holidays or weekends.
We provide families with time to rest, recover and restore relationships in a neutral environment. We prioritise the bereaved, those with mental or physical health issue, those who have experienced extended separation and those with financial difficulties: more often than not it is a combination of these issues which leads to referral.
