Fairfax Somerville Room, The Scottish Parliament
Our evening reception will be held at the Scottish Parliament, kindly hosted by Murdo Fraser MSP on Wednesday the 18th of March. The purpose of the event is to come together to discuss our new report ‘Living in the Gap: a voluntary health sector perspective on health inequalities in Scotland.’
The crux of the report is the value that the third sector can provide at a localised level to confront health inequalities. This report examined the work of Voluntary Health organisations across Scotland and includes 10 case studies which highlight the wide range of work currently happening in Scotland.
Our event will be an opportunity to discuss:
- Health inequalities across Scotland – do we have shared language?
- How does the voluntary health sector contribute to tackling health inequalities
- How can we build on the report conclusions and come together to effectively tackle inequalities across Scotland?
We are delighted that Jamie Hepburn MSP, Minister for Sport, Health Improvement and Mental Health will address our guests. We anticipate this event will be an important evening of discussion and networking.
