Join VHS and the Open University for the fourth in a series of joint online events exploring ageing, health and wellbeing. This fourth part of Jitka Všetečková’s Ageing Well lecture series and will cover age-related changes affecting hydration, kidney & liver function, medication /polypharmacy, drug journey through the body and how to support our body to clear medication from our bodies quickly and efficiently.
The talk will be led by Dr Jitka Všetečková who currently works at the Faculty of Wellbeing, Education and Language Studies, The Open University. Jitka undertakes research in Public Health with special interest in Ageing, Dementia, Exercise and Mental Health.
In this series we are exploring how important it is, over our lifespan, to maintain a well-balanced nutrition and hydration as well as regular physical and social activity in the older age, also known as the ‘Five Pillars of Ageing Well’.
