We are excited to launch the recruitment of two new elected trustees to the Voluntary Health Scotland (VHS) Board of Trustees.
We are a movement for health creation. We work with our members and partners to address health inequalities and to create better health and wellbeing for people and communities. We believe health is more than the absence of illness. We are here to create health in Scotland by reducing inequalities and enabling people to live well. We provide the national voice for Third Sector health organisations in Scotland.
Our Board of Trustees is comprised of representatives from our membership of over 250 organisations. You will play an important role in steering the direction of the organisation as we launch our new Strategic Plan 2025-2030 in the Autumn.
We want our Board to be inclusive, and to reflect the diversity of the third sector and wider society. That means striving for our board to be a mix of people with different characteristics, knowledge and experience, from different organisations and places, and with different perspectives.
We will hold a nominee election at our Annual General Meeting on 27 November 2025 and announce the outcome of the election at the event.
For further information including details about the commitment and responsibilities of the role please see this role description. If you or someone in your organisation is interested in becoming a VHS Board member, please complete our board nomination form and return it no later than 5pm on Wednesday 5 November 2025.
If you have any questions about becoming a Board member or require any assistance with the process, please email us or call 07955520391. Alternatively you can contact our Chair directly for to discuss the role further.
