Finding new sources of funding is crucial to the third sector. CVS Falkirk and Falkirk Council are pleased to announce that they are hosting another FREE Funders Fayre event on Tuesday 8th March 2016 at the Bowhouse Community Centre, Grangemouth.
The Funders Fayre returns after the success of last year’s event, which attracted more than 150 visitors and 18 funders. This year, 20 exhibitors will be hosting information stalls, including the Big Lottery, Robertson Trust, LEADER, Localgiving.com and Tesco Greenspace, amongst others. This event is designed to give third sector organisations the opportunity to meet with a range of diverse funders, and to learn about the various grant funding schemes available.
Organisations will have the opportunity to ask funders questions, and learn how to apply for funding and about the criteria funders use when assessing applications.

Background:
According to Localgiving.com:
- The average online donation is twice that of the average offline donation
- 88% of charity professionals expect digital fundraising to grow from 7% of total fundraising to 20% or more within the next 10 years.
For many charities and voluntary organisations, securing timely grant funding can mean the difference between whether or not they are able to continue providing support.
CVS Falkirk hopes that, by attending this event, third sector organisations can identify funding opportunities to help them deliver new projects or for the continuation of existing services.
The Funders Fayre 2015 resulted in:
Over 150 people and 18 funders in attendance.
- Applications to the value of £440,000 were submitted.
- Grants amounting to £206,000 were awarded.
