VHS are hosting a joint meeting with NES Digital Service- NHS National Education Scotland, to discuss the digital divide implications of Covid-19 on health.
VHS and NHS NES are keen to hear how third sector organisations and the people they support are affected by the way the current crisis is driving many services and activities online. What is the impact of this for people with no or little access to digital technology, or who cannot easily understand or use digital technology, or for whom a digital service is not appropriate? How are third sector organisations re-configuring services and support to meet these challenges and what barriers are they trying to overcome. Is the move to digital during the COVID-19 pandemic exacerbating health inequalities or opening up new and better ways to support people in future?
