The Nursing and Midwifery Council has extended an invitation to VHS members to join the second meeting of their forum in Scotland, on Thursday 5 June 2014 from 12:00-15:00 at Nursing and Midwifery Council, 114-116 George Street, Edinburgh, EH2 4LH.
The Council protects patients and the public by effective and efficient regulation of nurses and midwives. To help make sure that patients and the public are considered in the development of their standards, guidance and policies, they have set up a patient and public engagement forum. Anyone who represents a patient advocacy group or health charity, or is a service user, is welcome to join their forum. The Scottish forum is a new venture for the Council and it met for the first time on 25 April 2014.
Between 12:00-13:00 you will have the opportunity to meet Council members over lunch, before the forum discussion gets underway.
You can apply to the Council to cover your travel expenses, if these are not paid by your organisation.
