Living in the Gap Seminar- Glasgow
27/08/2015 @ 9:00 am - 12:45 pm
Event Navigation
Join us for our free half day seminar ran in partnership with GCVS to discuss health inequalities in Scotland.
Voluntary Health Scotland launched their report ‘Living in the Gap: a voluntary health sector perspective on health inequalities in Scotland’ earlier this year. The report highlighted the strength and vital work contributed by the sector, but also highlighted the need for further recognition.
Our seminar will look to discuss the report findings and the wider issues of health inequalities in Scotland. We will also look to discuss support and recognition for the third sector. ‘Living in the gap’ featured case studies which spotlight work currently underway in Scotland. Understanding the lived experience is vital to enable Scotland to close the health inequalities gap. Our seminar will include a panel and discussion session with some of our case study organisations.
Benefits of attending:
- Understanding the sector challenges
- Discussing the opportunities and future capabilities
- Understanding the barriers to closing the health inequalities gap
- Networking with a range of organisations
