October 6 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Event Navigation

**This event is for Programme Leads and Community Link Workers in primary care settings in Scotland.**
Join VOCAL’s Think Carer training, designed to support Community Link Workers across Scotland to confidently identify and support unpaid carers in your day-to-day role.
Many people you work with may be providing care for a family member, partner, or friend, often without recognising themselves as a carer. This interactive online session will help you recognise the signs of caring, understand the impact it can have, and take practical steps to offer meaningful support.
You’ll explore:
- How to identify unpaid carers within your caseload
- The impact of caring responsibilities on health, wellbeing, and daily life
- Carers’ rights under the Carers (Scotland) Act 2016
- How timely support can make a positive difference
Importantly, the session will also equip you with knowledge of resources and clear pathways for signposting to carer support services across Scotland, ensuring you can connect people to the right help, wherever they are based.
Whether you’re new to working with carers or looking to strengthen your practice, this training will build your confidence to take a proactive, carer-inclusive approach.
