What areas of equality work does your organisation want to focus on most?
At our Annual Conference in October, CEMVO Scotland asked this question across our network. Two themes stood out clearly: workforce diversity and community engagement strategy.
To build on this, we’re hosting an interactive online session that begins with a grounding in key anti-racism concepts—including race, racism and anti-racism, intersectionality, privilege, microaggressions, and effective allyship. This shared foundation will support our ongoing work to address racialised health inequalities across the sector.
In the second half of the session, we’ll move into group discussions to identify practical anti-racist actions, highlight good practice, and explore areas for development. This is where we’ll dig deeper into the themes of workforce diversity and community engagement.
Anyone who attends either introductory session (January or February) will also be invited to an online workshop in March, where participants will help co-create anti-racism guidance for the sector.
We welcome staff in any role, at any stage of their learning journey—no prior knowledge needed.
