SUMMARY:Scottish Community Link Worker Network: Essential Connections Event
DESCRIPTION:Essential Connections – exploring the range and scope of community link worker programmes across Scotland\n  \nVoluntary Health Scotland published its report Essential Connections on 30th November 2023. The report which explores the range and scope of community link worker programmes across Scotland is the culmination of 9 months’ research which included a survey with community link workers and interviews with 18 programme leads. The report is the first of its kind to provide a picture of the country’s community link working landscape and looks in more depth into how programmes are designed\, delivered\, monitored and evaluated across Scotland. \n  \nIn this session\, Roisin Hurst\, Project Manager for The Scottish Community Link Worker Network\, will present some of the key findings from the report before opening the session for further Q&A and discussion. \n  \nBook your place here.\n  \nPlease contact Lauren Blair if you have any questions. \n  \n

SUMMARY:Scottish Community Link Worker Network: Peer Support Event February 2024
DESCRIPTION:***This event is aimed specifically at Community Link Workers who are working directly within a Primary Care setting in Scotland*** \nOur peer support events are all about promoting community link workers’ wellbeing and enabling them to share learning and good practice to support them in their roles. \nDuring our February peer support event\, we are keen to hear from CLWs about the different methods and resources you use to support and record your conversations with patients. Is there a specific model you use to structure your conversations? Are there particular tools that you find effective to help you engage with a patient? What’s a good way of starting a conversation with someone who is reluctant to talk? \nWe will also talk about the materials and resources that CLWs use to encourage patients and communities to actively engage with their services. \nTo encourage discussion and sharing of good practice\, we will go into smaller breakout groups to allow CLWs time to network with their peers and find out more about each other’s work. \nBook your place here.
