DESCRIPTION:Following on from the pilot project of Children Carers and Second-hand Smoke\, ASH Scotland have now secured funding to continue the training workshop throughout Scotland over the next year. \nThe training is designed to equip workers with knowledge skills and confidence to better support parents/carers to protect children from SHS and provide strategies to assist them. \nThis training supports the Scottish Governments ‘Take it right outside’ campaign and the GIRFEC principles of helping to keep children safe\, healthy\, respected and nurtured.   The training also fits with protecting children’s rights\, improving their life chances and other key outcomes of the Scottish Government Early Years & Child Poverty Strategies. \nThis workshop is designed for staff\, paid or unpaid\, whose role involves supporting families with children under five.
