SUMMARY:Knowing Me\, Knowing You
DESCRIPTION:Knowing Me\, Knowing You: A Learning Exchange between National and Local Organisations \nCommunity Health Exchange (CHEX)\, Community Food and Health (Scotland)\, and Voluntary Health Scotland are holding an exciting learning and networking event on Tuesday 19 August 2014. \nThe event will focus on increasing understanding and engagement between the Scottish Government staff and the community and voluntary health sectors\, and working in partnership to improve health outcomes and people’s lives.  It will be a networking opportunity for civil servants and other national colleagues to learn with and from local organisations. It will also be an opportunity for civil servants to see first-hand how the policies and work they’re doing affects and impacts on people’s lives.  The event will involve: \n• Showcasing real life stories of impact from community and voluntary sector organisations and the people we support \n• Discussing how these stories can be used to inform and influence policy and strategic working \n• Discussing how all agencies across all sectors can work together to eliminate inequalities \n• Networking and share news\, information\, and learning about health inequalities \nThis event is invite only and is part of a wider programme around learning exchange.  If you would like to hear more about the programme or get involved\, please see our Learning Exchange Programme page or contact Susan Lowes. \n
